Now in dual-language

After operating for so many years using Malay language, it has been observed that the use of appfalak.com site remains limited to the Malay-speaking zone, predominantly by Malay users. I can;t hide the joy seeing user's reception of appfalak.com, with its operations in Malay language. When mapping the application's usage, it was found to be limited to specific zones only, even though the existing application system can be used almost worldwide. I presume that besides the various astronomy application software or website available today, language may also play a role to limit my users. I believe not everyone can understand Malaysian Malay well, even if you are from Indonesia. Below is the distribution of application usage in Southeast Asia, which I believe quite clearly justifies my assumption.

Site review on worldwide use (map below) yields more or less the same result. Although there are users in several foreign countries, I believe these users originate from the same zone as the map above.

To introduce appfalak.com further to international users, appfalak.com now comes with an English language option accessible through the link at the top right corner. Perhaps the English used is not as good, but I believe users who prefer English will certainly understand it, thereby making appfalak.com may become one of the choices for astronomical applications in their activities and region.

Wish me luck, and thank you very much. Enjoy the night sky!

p.s. Hope you enjoy my english too... :)

Sampaikanlah Kami ke Bulan Ramadhan

Syaaban telah tiba. Ketika rukyah awal Syaaban yang lalu, kedudukan hilal ketika maghrib amat menarik sekali, terutama bagi negara Malaysia. Berdasarkan syarat MABIM 2016, Malaysia "terbahagi" kepada dua zon kenampakan. Dalam konteks penetapan tarikh, tiada pembahagian kerana sistem satu negara digunakan. Saya hanya cerita dalam konteks kenampakan sahaja. Lihat rajah berikut:

Amin.

Bulan Fasa Sabit Tua
